County Minors

Best of luck once again to Joe, Daniel and Dylan as the County Minors continue their Championship run against Cork on Sunday at 6pm in Tullamore.

Our Seniors played Aughnamullen last Friday evening in what can only be described as the worst conditions ever. Torrential rain, lightning strikes and thunder rolls did not however put our lads off their stride. Goals from Tommy Freeman and Ryan Farrelly ensured that Magheracloone were well ahead 14 minutes into the second half when the referee called the game off due to the weather. Magheracloone were awarded the points. Next up we play Killanny in Annaghminnon at 8pm on Friday evening and again on Wednesday August 7th in the unplayed fixture (5 pointer) from earlier in the year.

Our reserves play Donaghmoyne in Kingscourt at 7.30pm in the semi-final of the Division 1A league.

All support welcome and best of luck to all involved.

The U7’s have a Blitz in Clones on Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am. Players to be there for 9.15am and don’t forget the all-important gumshields!

The U9’s have a Blitz in Donaghmoyne on Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm.

The U11’s played Truagh last Saturday morning and had two wins for their efforts after two great games. Our U10’s headed to Bailieborough in the afternoon and after three games left with the Shield and very happy heads, well done boys and management.

The U13’s play Clontibret this Saturday at 12 in the first round of the group Championship. Players to be in Clontibret for 11.15am. Best of luck to all.

Last Thursday evening our U15’s League campaign came to an end in the semi-final after they were beaten by Carrick. Next up for the lads is an away match to Tyholland on August 8th in the Championship group stage. Training continues Friday at 6pm.
