Community Games

Hard luck to our U10 boys who were defeated in the Ulster Final last Saturday. After a great win in the semi-final against a good Ballyshannon side they came up against a very strong St’ Pat’s team who ran out eventual winners. The U14 girls’ game was postponed and will now take place on Sunday evening at 8pm in Terry Coyle Park, Cavan against St. Pat’s also. Please come out and support the girls and management!

Our Seniors remain top of the table after a comprehensive win over second placed Donaghmoyne. Full time score was 3-15 to 0-9.

The U9’s train on Thursday from 7-8pm and play in a blitz on Saturday in Monaghan Harps at 10am.

Well done to the U11’s who had two great wins over near neighbours Corduff in the Liam Stirrat Development league on Monday evening. This was our first home fixture and it was great to see so much support for both teams. Next game is away to Latton on July 6th. Thank you to Justin once again for his generosity in sponsoring treats and ice-cream for the boys last Friday, it was much appreciated.

Our U13 boys have reached the Shield semi-final and now play Oram at home on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. Best of luck lads and management and we hope to see loads of Magheracloone support there!

Ladies notes

Magheracloone Ladies GFC would like to extend its deepest sympathies to Club PRO Joanne Clarke on the death of her mother, Dolores Kelly. Many would have seen Dolores at our juvenile games supporting her grand-daughters Hayley, Aimee and Katie. Our thoughts are with the Clarke and Kelly family. May she rest in peace.

U14 County

Hard luck to Aimee, Ealagh, Roisin, Megan, Niamh and Fiona and the Monaghan U14 team who were beaten in the All-Ireland Gold final last Saturday, it was a massive achievement to reach the final and we’re all very proud of you here in the club.

U10 Cubs

Well done to our U10 cubs who took part in a blitz in Inniskeen on Saturday. We played three games and these young future stars played some great competitive football which allowed them to showcase the big improvements they have made since the year began. Thank you to Mairead and Imelda for being with the girls and also the parents for all their support. Well done to Inniskeen on hosting such a successful blitz.

U12’s Lions and Tigers

The Lions play O’Neill Shamrocks on Friday evening at 7.15pm at home, best of luck girls.

U14’s and U13’s
