Club Lotto 

We had no winner of this week’s lotto. The numbers drawn were 9, 15, 18 and 27. The four lucky dip winners were Caroline O’Hara, Patsy McCluskey, Art McArdle and Catherine Kelly and each win €50. Our next jackpot will be for €2700 and the draw will take place in Treacys Hotel on Monday evening.

Our Seniors had a great win over Monaghan Harps in the league on Friday last and remain top of the table, well done!


Our Reserves played Castleblayney last Sunday afternoon in the league and came out on top with a point to spare. On Friday evening they meet Castleblayney again but this time it’s in the semi-final of the O’Duffy Cup in Annaghminnon at 8pm, best of luck to all the players and management.


Our U7’s train on Thursday evening in Scoil Bhride from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.


Our U9’s train on Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in Scoil Bhride, Mullaghrafferty. Please note change of time.


Our U11’s played Killanny in a challenge last Tuesday evening where both teams enjoyed a great evening of football. Thank you to Killanny for having us and for the hospitality after the game, it was much appreciated.

Focus was back to the Spring League on Saturday and Truagh were the opponents on this occasion. Both of our teams displayed great skill and scores throughout and ran out winners on both pitches. Thank you to Corduff Gaels for the use of their pitch. Training continues Tuesdays and Saturdays ahead of the Spring League finals, dates and times to be confirmed.

Community Games

Congratulations to our U10 boy’s team on reaching the County final again this year. The final will be played in Drumhowan on Monday evening at 7pm so please come out and support our future stars in their quest for gold and a chance to represent Magheracloone and Monaghan in Ulster.

Congratulations must also go to the girls U13 Basketball team, some of whom are club members, on winning silver in the National finals last weekend in Limerick. Well done girls!

Ladies notes:


Our U12 Tigers had a well-deserved win over Corduff this evening (Tuesday). Our U12 Lions play Killanny away at 7.15pm on Friday evening. Best of luck everybody.


Our U14 Division 1 team play Carrick in Annaghminnon on Bank Holiday Monday at 5pm. Our U14 Division 3 team play Killeevan at home on Tuesday evening at 6.45pm, venue to be decided.


The U16’s had a great win over Latton on Monday evening, well done all!


Our super Minors brought the first piece of silverware of the year back to Magheracloone last Tuesday evening with a brilliant win over Inniskeen in the Division 3 Championship Final, massive well done to Ollie, Bernie and all the girls on their triumph!


Congratulations to Katie Clarke and Grace Kierans on their Player of the Year awards in St.Louis Convent, well done girls!!

Special mention also to Roisin, Megan, Aimee, Ealagh and coaches Niamh and Fiona on securing three wins out of three last Saturday in Stage 2 of the U14 All Ireland series. The girls now face Clare on June 1st in the ‘Gold’ quarter final, best of luck to all the panel and management team.
