Under-14 Division 1 League
One Tuesday evening last Iniskeen and Magheracloone met in the league semi-final. This was always going to be a tough encounter. Both teams played their hearts out for their respective clubs. Our team were strong throughout but a special mention must go to Shane Burns who certainly showed his steel, he broke up many passages of play and set Magheracloone on the attack. Iniskeen simply had no answer to the Magheracloone teamwork, skill, score taking & determination with 20 scores v 11 scores being an accurate reflection of the Magheracloone dominance. The prize – a place in the under 14 Division 1 Cup final went to Magheracloone. Final Score Magheracloone 4:16 Iniskeen 0-11. The final will be played in the coming days and the opponents will be the unbeaten Aughnamullen side. So for one last time this year come and support these lads who have done so well to reach this stage of the competition.

Under-12
Saturday morning last belonged to our U12’s when they had a well merited win over Tyholland in the Division 2A shield final. In the first fifteen minutes both sides gave a whole hearted display of football and the ball was evenly contested but from that until the final whistle Magheracloone pulled away and at no point looked like they would relinquish their lead. In the end our better balanced side lifted the first silverware of the year. The full panel contributed to this victory. Let’s hope they continue their winning ways through the years. Final score Magheracloone 5-6 Tyholland 0-4

Loans to 2nd Phase of Pitch Development:
The club would like to thank all those individuals/families who have pledged either €1000 or €2000 Interest Free Loans to the club in order to finish the pitch development. The club has now reached its target of €40,000 which is astounding and work can now proceed which would not be possible without the generosity of club members. You should hopefully see work commence around the field shortly, first of all the erection of a new sports spectator fence followed by new state of the art ball stops.
